Part 1

1. Using "My File", goto Storage Card and delete the "Navfone" folder and "NavFoneCab.CAB" file if found.
2. Restart your device by switching it off and on.
3. Use a PC to download and Save the following files:

NAVFone Application : (File Size: 188 KB)

Data : (File Size: 65 MB)

Part 2

1. On your PC, unzip the downloaded "NAVFone.zip" file. When successfully unzipped, it will create a new folder called "Navfone". Contained in the "Navfone" folder are;
   • "Data" folder
   • "Icon" folder
   • "Waves" folder
   • "Others" folder
   • "NAVFone_SP.exe" file
2. Copy the unzipped "Navfone" folder and the "NavFoneCab.CAB" file to the phone storage card. Do not place these 2 items in any sub-folder.
3. Using "My Files", go to the storage card.
4. Press on "NavFoneCab.CAB" to start the installation process. When prompted, Install NAVFone to the storage card.
5. Start the NAVFone software via the "Start" menu on the phone. When prompted, please activate NAVFone use the license number provided.
6. Done.

Step 1: Download ".SIS" files and copy to memory card

• Using a PC, download the following file from this URL:
• Unzip the download file. The following files will be available once unzipped.
  • NAVFone_S60_5_0_v_2_2_9150(230609 Symbian Signed).SISX
  • Singapore.062009.SISX
  • West Malaysia.062009.SISX
• Copy these file to the phone's memory card by either using a memory card reader or by the phone's USB mass storage mode.
• Step 1 complete.

Step 2: Installation of application and maps

• Goto Menu > Office > File Manager > Memory Card
• Select "NAVFone_S60_5_0_v_2_2_9150(230609 Symbian Signed).SISX" and install to memory card.
• Once installation is complete, select "Singapore.062009.SISX" and install to memory card.
• Once installation is complete, select "West Malaysia.062009.SISX" and install to memory card.
• Step 2 complete.

Step 3: Activation of NAVFone license

• Goto Menu > Application > NAVFone
• Key in the License Number. After submitting, an SMS will be sent.
• NAVFone will exit automatically.
• Once SMS reply is received, start NAVFone.
• Step 3 complete.

To ensure successful installation, user are advised to uncheck the 'Power Save' mode. Please click on device-> settings ->system->power- > advanced-> under "on battery power" ->uncheck the "Turn off device if not used"

Note: Upon completion of all installation, user may want to repeat the above steps to 'check' the "Turn off device if not used" for device to be in Power Save mode.

Install Application CAB

1. Download the Application CAB from this URL. or (App Version 2.3.9015, 15.8 MB)
2. Remove the SD card from your device.
3. Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4. Copy this file "NavFone_App.9015.CAB" into your device SD card
5. Insert this SD card back into your device
6. From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card -> NavFone_App.9015.CAB
7. The installation process will start. Press "Yes" for any security prompt.
8. Device will prompt user on installation path, is importance that user MUST select "\Storage Card", and press "Install".
9. After installation, from your device, click on -> Program -> NavFone PPC icon to start the application.
10. For first time user the application will prompt "Invalid Registration key ".
11. Select a method of activation. Activation via SMS is preferred.
12. Done

Install Required Map Data

1. Download the required map from this URL (e.g Singapore_Map.17042009.CAB)

   Singapore Map Installer		or		(Map Vesrion: 17 Apr 2009, 54.9 MB)
   Malaysia Map Installer		or		(Map Vesrion: 22 Apr 2009, 73.0 MB)

2. Remove the SD card from your device.
3. Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4. Copy this file "Singapore_Map.17042009.CAB" into your device SD card
5. Insert this SD card back into your device
6. From your device, click on -> File Explorer -> Storage card -> Singapore_Map.17042009.CAB
7. The installation process will start. Press "Yes" for any security prompt.
8. Device will prompt user on installation path, is importance that user MUST select "\Storage Card", and press "Install".
9. Done

IMPORTANT : When the "not authorized to use" dialog box appears upon tapping on the Yellow Pages icon, the optional feature has to be purchased. Kindly click here for more information.

   Singapore Map Data	or		(July 2009, Size: 26.3 MB)
   Malaysia Map Data			(July 2009, Size: 70.9 MB)

2. Remove the SD card from your device.
3. Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4. Copy the installers into your device SD card
5. Insert this SD card back into your device
6. From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card
7. Tap on the individual map installer to start the installation process.
8. Device will prompt user on installation path. It is preferable to install to the memory card. Press "Install" to start the installation process.
9. Done

Step 3: Install Yellowpages Data

1. Download the data installers or (Size: 32.3 MB)
2. Remove the SD card from your device.
3. Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4. Copy the installers into your device SD card
5. Insert this SD card back into your device
6. From your device, click on -> File Explorer -> Storage Card
7. Tap on the individual map installer to start the installation process.
8. Device will prompt user on installation path. It is preferable to install to the memory card. Press "Install" to start the installation process.
9. After installation, from your device, click on -> Program -> NavFone PPC icon to start the application.
10. Done

2. Go to Start > Productivity > Setting > General Setting > GPS > Connection > Hardware port > Set to COM9, Baud rate: 9600

2. Go to Start > Setting > System > GPS (or External GPS) > Hardware > Set to Com 9, 9600
3. Go to Start > Setting > System > Enhance GPS
