NAVFone VZone Launch - 1 June 2009
Singapore - AGIS launched the NAVFone VZone, a global location monitoring software, on its online portal. Designed to help keep parents and grandparents monitor the child's movement, VZone updates authorized users (set by the parent) when the child leaves home, school or classes. With a simple SMS message, a zone is created at the child's location. An SMS alert message would be sent back to the parent when the child has left the zone.
VZone works anywhere where GSM signals are available. It is mobile operator-independent, switches between 2G/3G/3.5G networks and monitors even when the child or parent is in a different country. VZone is highly secured as only the parent can set the mobile numbers who who can monitor the child from his/her phone. All controls are from the phone, anytime, anywhere. As the application works in the background, as long as the phone is switched on, monitoring can take place.
VZone is supported on Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition phones. VZone can also be used to monitor elderly person, quarantined patients or old folks during excursions.
